Having entered the Administrum building, Lord Commander Aleron Siental follows the senior prefect through more winding corridors, followed by the grumbling complaints of his faithful bodyguard Briand Corbrunson.  Siental is led to a heavy reinforced door, stepping through this door will mean fully taking up his mantle as the supreme imperial ruler of Aftermath.  He hesitates briefly, inhales deeply pushing the nightmares away, and goes through.

The newly turned Acuizio Braxton began his war on the Imperium in the Secleris system, striking out to the Imperial cities across the planet. Working in utter secrecy, he worked his most loyal men and servants into positions of influence until finally he had the resources he needed to strike.

All the while the attentions of the darkest of entities within the immaterium were drawn ever closer to the vigilant but unfocused soul. The call of Tzeentch began to slip into Braxton’s mind, slowly causing his total conversion from a terrorist and heretic to a vile servant of Chaos.

It was through vivid dreams of unusual clarity that Tzeentch took his hold upon the disgruntled Braxton, providing the much needed focus with goals that suited the God’s whim and tenacity. Braxton soon learned of the Relic of Contego which began to call out to him.

When Braxton finally struck, he did it with the spintered forces of the Imperium at his side, sowing confusion and mistrust, bringing forward those that would fight for his cause. Eventually the battle for the Secleris system moved forward and to Contego.

With his goal so close, he could now feel the corrupt energies of Chaos envelope his very soul as they slowly seduced his will and brought his forces upon the relic. The cries of an ancient Daemon imprisoned in a torturous fury within a vile machine scarring his mind even further.

The Relic was destroyed, and the Tabulis Rift was born, encapsulating and shrouding the dessicated ruins of Contego. In a violent storm of destruction, Secleris was horribly charred, and most of the life was stripped from the planet. Braxton and his forces presumably survived only because of the will of Tzeentch.

We now stand on the 99th day of the Campaign, a number twice over representing the twisted nature of the Lord of Change - Tzeentch. There have now been over 2000 battles played for the future of the Aftermath Sector.

Day 99 brings a small map patch that adds a new warzone into the conflict. As the expedition by the forces of the Imperium in the Aftermath sector continue to push into the Tabulis Rift, a dark omen left from the Secleris war has appeared once more.

Completely ravaged and changed by the dark powers of the Chaos God Tzeentch, the former Imperial planet now emanates a dark and perverse energy that is the shear power of Braxton's forces. It is here that the schisms of Braxton have corrupted and devastated many worlds and Contego is now the dark throne of power within the Aftermath sector. Like an eye peering from the Tabulis Rift, it seeks out and directs the hidden will of Tzeentch. Here on the 99th day, a number twice over that of the dark god Tzeentch, Contego ebbs from the Rift bringing with it a dark solstice upon the denizens of the sector.
