Campaign FAQ

Q: When does the Campaign Start?

A: We will start to collect your battle reports beginning on October 31st 2009. Each player may report up to 5 wins per day through a simple form, choosing where they wish to place their victories within the Aftermath Sector and the warzones therein.

Q: How do I participate?

A: You can participate in the Aftermath Online Campaign by playing any regular game of Warhammer 40,000 (or Epic, Inquisitor, Dawn of War, ect.) and then using a special form report the results of your game to the website.

Q: What kind of a campaign is this?
A: Aftermath is a map based campaign that has similar elements to the Eye of Terror campaign, with warzones to fight over. Players can choose at what warzone they wish to fight and their results contribute to the overall campaign.

Q: Are there teams? What are they?
A: Since Aftermath was spawned at the end of the Eye of Terror campaign, it was created with the Forces of Order and the Forces of Disorder in mind. The Forces of Order (those forces in defence of the Aftermath Sector) are Space Marines, Eldar, Imperial Guard, Inquisition (Daemonhunters, Witchhunters) and the Tau. The Forces of Disorder (those attempting to take control of the Aftermath Sector) are Chaos Marines, Chaos Daemons, Traitor Legions (any non-loyalist Guard), Tyranids, Necrons and Orks.

Q: What if I have more than one army?
A: You can use any number of armies you wish for this campaign, but you must choose a side (see above). Once your side is chosen, you cannot change it during the course of the campaign.

Q: Do my opponents have to be registered for me to play?
A: No, your opponents do not have to be registered in order for you to play them and report your games.

Q: Are there any tools to help me find opponents?
A: You can play games against any opponent you wish, but Aftermath will be helping those players who want to play games against each other in Dawn of War.

Q: Do my games have to be of a certain size?
A: You can play any size game at all.

Q: Will there be a Codex/Play Aid for this campaign?
A: We are concentrating first on the campaign itself. If a Codex/Play Aid is in our budget of time we may look into it.

Q: I am a veteran of the older Aftermath Campaigns, will the podcast be returning?
A: Yes, the Aftermath Podcast will be returning.

Q: I am a veteran of the older Aftermath Campaigns, will duelling be returning?
A: If players wish, duelling will be made available as a type of game you can play.
