Ok, bit of a delay getting some of these up (I got Dissidia  Grin) but here's some close ups, apologies for the bad shots, I do not know how to use a camera well.

And the painting of everything will take considerably longer....  Cry

Yikes. No wonder my cf's did so badly in 'The Disaster'. But, in about 3 weeks time, I should have up to 6000pts of CF's assembled, that's another 1500-1750pts of additions to my list. Still, that's a lot of orks, and at a glance I beleive you've bought about...what.... 6 or 7 AoBR's? Puts my new SM strike force, veterans, tanks and chaplain to shame, those numbers Tongue. My army might've lasted about a turn against all that? :p loving it!

It's finally happened! For the first time in I don't know how many years I've actually painted some orks!

My first actual orks as Evil Sunz!  Cool

As well as this the horde as grown a little more with two kans, a loota mob, and Snikrot, though not going to take photos of those unless they get painted, which is unlikely as should do boyz first.

And a closeup of one of them:

Mob comes to 10 in total so far, didn't quite get them all in the decent photos.

Any painting is good painting when dealing with so many models, or any models in my case Cry.

Progress is slowing but an entire mob of 30 has now been painted! Two pics of the same mob: -

I really need to get the flash on this camera working and the pics might turn out a bit better....

Nice work so far. One suggestion try painting the bases brown instead of green as it would help their skin to stand out more.

Thanks, though not so sure about having them playing on a mud field.... Was thinking of putting static grass on them at a later date, that might help. Will cover those two black lines I can't paint over on some of the bases at least (is the AoBR set, so those are slotta holes).

I agree with Silar about the color of the bases. You need something that contrasts with their green skin. Your bases don't have to be green in order to use your static grass. I am sure that we have all seen different colored dirt with green grass growing from it in real life.

For example: I live in the portion of the Appalachin Mountains found in the state of South Carolina. The earth here is red clay, and I do mean 'red.' Nevertheless, the grass is green. It is common to see both colors together.

I am not saying that you should use red. I am just trying to demonstrate that your bases could look very good and natural with green static grass on brown bases. It is worth considering.

I don't think I've ever seen a painted model not use green for the base if it's going to be on grass.

None of this new fangled brown border fad, keep with the classics, goblin green! Ok actually, personally I feel the base should be neutral, however I would be conserned with adding too many colours to palette.  Besides bases can wait till later, for now I would suggest keeping them uniform.
