Hehe....so what do we discuss? 

*Terrain and Line of sight?
*The Art of Dice cheating....er, I mean rolling?
*Why J8 won't let me post on the FoO board? 
*The sillyness of CSM having to take lesser, lesser daemons, instead of the 
  regular lesser daemons?
*Proxies:  The good and the bad?
*How awesome the campaign is (yes....I am going for brownie points )
*Dueling, and just how in the heck do you get to it?

All good things to cover when you come on the podcast. I just finished a game with Apollo and want to talk some about that too. Don't worry, I'll bring it around to something everyone can talk about. Episode 3 is out now as well.

I've listened through this one so many times already..

Dark Eldar: dedicated fast open topped scouting skimmers, fleet, Eldar jetbikes, cavalry?, jump/jet packs, webway portals.  It all adds up when you can make an entire army of speed.  Now how to develop on the nightmare theme and steer clear of the Dark Elves?

What expansions does Fantasy have?
Currently nothing.
What have they had?
Seige, which 40k now has as Planet Strike.

But then when comparing fantasy and Apocalypse, with Warmaster they really don't have all that more than they have in their standard game.

My thoughts on the Dark Eldar is that they will be some crazy up to 48" army with a lot of transports and skimmers.  Maybe next time I should join fod, I like destroying things too you know .  As for forces of order leadership maybe we should elect a leader for the entire army.  I vote..... anyone but me.

Oops, ignore my earlier post.  At the time I had not realized that episode 3 had recorded.  I thought that you wanted potential topics for discussion for episode 3.  Sorry 

As far as the discussion that did happen........

 I have tons of miniatures laying around that do not have paint.  It is not because I am lazy or don't necessarily have enough time, but because I HATEpainting!  Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of painting, but for me to get a miniature done, It takes me forever.

There was talk about how the FoD is more organized than the FoO.  One thing that might help is to block the opposite side from posting in the other side's forums.  Although you can't access the entire forum, whenever someone does post something, it comes up in the "Recent" column and anyone can comment.  It makes it a bit difficult to contact and plan anything when the opposite side can read what you post and are planning

It's the sign up thread for the FoO that you keep posting in, it's like you want to sign up to be the good guys, but you can't because we all know y'are evil.  (I knew people who lived on Ignus, you monster!)

Don't worry Enc I hate painting too. I think it is because Im never happy with the end result. It also annoys me when my brother can paint better than me in half the time!

I think the problem with Fantasy is it almost needs an "Apocalypse" expansion, also a fluff movement bring Nagash back for gods sakes! Maybe then an additional mission expansion like the new 40k one coming soon.

I think the problem with Fantasy is the size of the battle that it is trying to represent. It wants to live out these huge awesome fights (like with ranks of troops) but with small numbers of models in units that to me react funny.

I think a Fantasy Apocalypse would be really difficult considering the movement rules and the massive unit sizes you would be looking at. I think a simple idea is to double, or triple maximum unit sizes, get rid of the restrictions on what you can take, that way you have less to move around (that is in blocks instead of multiple units of smaller size). Problem with a game like that would become the lack of something in the lines of destroyer weapons to thin out the fields.

Anyone that says destroyer weapons are too powerful hasn't played enough Apocalypse IMO. They are necessary when using forces that large to make the game playable at a decent pace.
