I was checking out the map this morning and I am not sure why Tabulis Rift control shifted so much last night.

It was an even 10/10 split on posts there, with Barnosh giving the FoO a 10% bonus (roughly: 1 free battle per 10 posted).  The shift last night however was 2.1.  Is there another planet/system that gives more of a shift that I do not know about, or some other factor?

Good, I am glad there is a reason.  Are we (the FoD) allowed to know?

Of course you are allowed to know, Grin

...Oh you wanted me to tell you?  Yeah actually I can't not be helpful, which isn't too helpful for the FoO I guess.  I should add these to campaign guide:

The Controlling bonus is represented as a percentage that modifies the effectiveness of each win. An increase of +100% would be the equivalent of 2 wins on the Warzone for each win reported.

Certain warzones now may contain assets such as Webway, Resources, Morale, and Defenses.  On the map the presence of these are indicated on a simple yes and no basis to keep everything tidy and uniform.  Pressing the little '?' link beside them will give a quick explanation of their effects.

Webway: Warzones that contain Webway portals allow Eldar and Dark Eldar players to gain a bonus when they place battles on those warzones. The more warzones controlled by a side, the greater the webway bonus becomes.
Resources: These warzones contain a significant amount of resources, be it raw material, weapons stockades or other useful supplies that can be used in the war. Controlling a warzone that has access to resources gives a +10% bonus on all battles to the side that controls the warzone.
Morale: Some warzones have a morale effect on the adjacent warzones. A Warzone that has a morale effect will affect the control of all other warzones in the same system.
Defences: These warzones have a large number of defences, be it orbital platforms, planetside fortresses, defensive bastions or weapon batteries. These defences make it harder for an attacking force to wage war. If an attacking force places battles on a warzone with defences that they do not have control over, those battles will be reduced in effectiveness by 25%.

Likewise there are other technical factors such as acclimation for example.
Acclimation is where one side places battles on one warzone, making each more effective.

Mine says 103 also.  Maybe it's just your computer.  By the way, shouldn't there be somthing like webways for deamons on Flamberge and the new planet scence their deamon worlds?

Generally speaking the Webway is psychically shielded, especially at the nodes that a deeper within that labyrinth, so I would say that it would be highly unlikely that any daemons would be able to manifest there, not to mention the immediate resistance imposed by the Eldar of both colors; however, I do know that Ahriman was able to infiltrate the Webway in his search for the Black Library.

No I mean shouldn't there be like a deamon rift on the planet to give the same bonuses webways give, but to deamons.

I now have day 103......no stats for day 102, but between the two days, The FoO posted 4 battles more than what the FoD posted on Tabulis Rift, and it was a 9.8 shift.

Please forgive me, I am no math whiz, but the 10% bonus from Barnosh is no where near enough to account for the huge shift.  I know there is a stacking effect, but I do not belive that on either day the FoO outposted the FoD by such a huge amount to cause this.

Can someone enlighten me please Smiley

Well, I just discovered a major error on my part in my bracket placement, causing the main function of the map to cop out beyond a certain "stress point" as battles reach a certain level, causing a dramatic and sharp exponential curve to the effectiveness of a battle report. It also appears to be the reason why things moved percentage at the tail end of things.

I've looked at the problem, and have solved it, however, I have not uploaded the solution, as changing this calculation changes the layout of the campaign. More precisely, this is now a problem that needs to be looked into.

Let me put it this way, the changes would both hinder and help both sides equally, as they were both affected by this change - but the percentages of all warzones that have had conflict would become "normalized" or, more or less, towards the mean.

Some examples:

Tabulis Rift: 46.6
Flamberge: 14.0
Prox: 20.7
Ignus: 29.2
Karsonis: 16.4
Tuleno: 77.6
Icthan : 68.7
Cantor Point: 80.7

In all, it results in an average change of about 2% in favor of the Forces of Order over all Warzones.

Thanks for leading me into this investigation Encephalatitus (and creating more work for me  Wink), I was able to catch it now before the result was an incredibly sharp curve that would have been a lot more debilitating when it was finally discovered.

The question is, where do we proceed from here? I want to find a solution that is fair to all.

I vote for fixing it.  If the numbers are wrong, then they are wrong.

The only "problem" I see is what would we do about the Relic of Flamberg?

Well, considering we are already writing a scenario about a last stand, and detailing some things there, I would say just leave it as it is - since it is already pretty much canon.
