New Guard Kits

Well, as it turns out it seems that the new Chimera and Basilisk are nothing but kit updates, and don't have any real options on them. The Chimera does have some new bits incorporated into the main sprue, like the HK missile and dozer blade, but now lacks the accessory sprue. The Basilisk looks like a single gun option, but still seems to have the accessory sprue - only now more expensive?

Glad I just spazzed and bought 6 Basilisks last week in preparation for this disappointment.

Edit: Perhaps saying I'm disappointed is not a fair assessment. Actually, rather being prepared for this makes me feel good inside, even if it means I've saved a few bucks for a slightly older, harder to put together model.

Edit 2: I just also realized the new Basilisk has no crew for loading the Earthshaker like the previous model had. So, you also loose two heavy weapon crew from the lack of that sprue as well.

Thats why I bought the Basilisks - for conversions.

I can take the hulls and make a lot of different weapon configurations. I can also take the Earthshaker mount and build a platform for it and use them in Apocalypse. Oh boy.
