Yeh, Schafes got it right.

He played Praetorian Imperial Guard and wrote alot of fluff about them. He was rather fond of the old ways of war.

He did indeed organise that webchat... Still do not believe that was real to this day.

It's the curse of the exciting people to die in exciting ways.

It just seemed fishy to me that it was never mentioned that he'd be talking via proxy until the chat happened. It might have been the real deal but I have my doubts and now years later with the person I'm doubting no where around I'm voicing them.
